After teaching high school English for 32 years in Greenville & Spartanburg County Schools and working 30 plus years part-time in Real Estate, Susan has been with Prudential C. Dan Joyner in Greer for four years.
Because of her previous experience working as an educator, Susan consistently keeps up with schools and their progress. She is focused on the importance of high standards of education and realizes the importance of a good, solid education on our children's future.
Today, as Top Listing Agent and Top Agent at Prudential C. Dan Joyner in Greer, Susan is well qualified in assisting all your needs in residential and commercial real estate.
Following her childhood in Greer, Susan graduated from Greer High School, and later graduated from Furman University in Greenville, SC, where she received a BA in English.
In 1969 she married Walter Burch who is the retired co-publisher and co-owner of The Greer Citizen. They raised two children in Greer who now reside in Charleston with their respective spouses and her granddaughter.
Since Susan was born, raised, and still resides in Greer, she has many contacts with local business people as well as contacts with several generations of families from all over the Upstate.
Susan is well capable and exudes patience and diligence in her service to her clients: this is where she excels. She helps her clients feel at home with their move and is excellent in anticipating her clients' needs before even asked. With many clients, she has established friendships and considers that one of the great rewards of her job. She has great suggestions for helping clients sell their homes and has many contacts she can refer to you before and after the closing. In fact, she has devised her own "5 Secrets to Selling Your Home" which has helped her achieve a 63 days on market average since starting at Prudential - an impressive statistic! And of course, she is able to negotiate a favorable resolution for her clients in the final sale price of the home, and she works hard to make all closings easy for her clients.
In her free time, Susan is involved in the community, as well as her church. She is currently a director of the local soup kitchen. She has served as a Sunday school teacher, Deacon and Elder in First Presbyterian Church in Greer, and most recently was selected The Presbyterian Woman of the Year. When she gets a chance, she enjoys visiting her children and granddaughter in Charleston, SC.
Susan looks forward to hearing from you and more importantly she is looking forward to helping you make good decisions - for your buying and selling needs.
